To Join Live:
1. Visit TalkShoe.com and register a free account. Doing this will make it easier to identify you by user name when you join The Middlecast. This is totally optional (if you just want to listen and chat).
2. Find out when the next live show is by visiting The Middlecast's TalkShoe page.
3. The day of the show (usually Tuesdays 9pm EST) go back to the page on TalkShoe and either click "JOIN IN!" or "TalkShoe Live! Pro." Using "TalkShoe Live! Pro" lets you use the chat software TalkShoe has created for live shows. Either method works. Download the "Pro" version for free here.
4. You can either listen, chat or call in to the show! To call in dial (724) 444-7444. The talkcast ID is 21073. You can also call in with your computer using ShoePhone (click for more info). If you call in make sure to use the 9-digit PIN you created along with your free TalkShoe account (this may be automatic if your pin is also the phone number you use to call from.)
Rules:
1. No vulgar language, hate, arguing, etc. Use common sense.
2. Don't talk over other callers. Especially the host(s). Give everyone a fair chance to speak, and wait for an appropriate moment to chime in and share your thoughts/ideas/conversation.
3. Be mindful of background noise. Make sure to mute your computer's audio when you call in, so there is no feedback audio. People who have a lot of background noise may end up getting muted.
4. You can plug your own show/website/anything when prompted to by the host(s). This will usually be done at the beginning and/or end of the podcast.
5. Spoilers. If it's been in an interview, promo, promotional photo or the comic books then the spoiler is fair game. Anything else please avoid discussing on the podcast.
